4 ( +1 | -1 ) I play The Modern against everything!
19 ( +1 | -1 ) if 1. e4 then either Two Knights Defence or Closed Morphy
if 1. d4 I play QGD Tartakower variation
Kind Regards, Dozer
11 ( +1 | -1 ) Sicilian Dragon, French, and Semi-Slav. Currently considering adding the Nimzo-Indian to my repertoire.
16 ( +1 | -1 ) I playThe sicilian, The KID, and the hypermodern defences (double fianchetto and the like).
I'm not particularly good at the sicilian, but I really like it because of the games which it creates... always a lot of fun.
21 ( +1 | -1 ) Opening...Against 1. e4 I usually answer with c5 (Sicilian) or e5 depending on the individual... Against 1. d4 I most always answer with Nf6 due to the many lines you can transpose to, but once again I also play d4 depending on the individual...
26 ( +1 | -1 ) Vs e4 - I choose to play French which I start playing about 4 month ago. Before this I play Pirc and and Caro-Kann.
Vs d4 - Grunfeld, King Indian ( I'm not to good when facing d4). Currently trying to understand Nimzo-Indian..
vs Others e6 , g6 ,c6 , b6 or d6
12 ( +1 | -1 ) depends!its all depends on the white openning move. 1 e4 I will go for sicilian 1 d4 indian defenses
I like to be dynamic as black attack!
30 ( +1 | -1 ) "Give me any opening with an O.K. position and I will beat any player with any opening 300 points below me"
Seriously, I have a friend who is an FM, and he never studied openings. Perhaps, I am nearsighted, but I seem to feel that the middle and endgame can win games on a patzer level, not the opening.
8 ( +1 | -1 ) I playCaro-Kann vs 1.e4, Slav vs 1.d4, Slav-style setups vs everything else.
15 ( +1 | -1 ) I like King's Indian Defence, or Sicilian Najdorf, but sometimes I try something new (often when feeling "frisky", and then come unstuck!)
7 ( +1 | -1 ) I open withKIA for White; French against e4; Slav against d4; Dutch against c4.
7 ( +1 | -1 ) I specialized...Against e4 - Sicilian Against others - Benoni, Blumenfeld, or QGD systems
28 ( +1 | -1 ) My preferences as Blackagainst "e4" I prefer the Caro-Kann. Against "d4" I usually play the Orthodox Queen's Gambit declined -- I'm uncomfortable capturing the "c4" pawn, directly. IF white doesn't know the Cambridge Springs Defense at all (it's evident early on), then I give it all I have (which isn't a whole lot)
0 ( +1 | -1 ) My openings as black...1.e4 c6, 1.d4 1...d5 2.c4 c6 or 1...Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 Bb4 (3.Nf3 b6, 3.g3 d5), 1.c4 c6, 1.Nf3 Nf6, 1.f4 d5, 1.b3 d5, 1.b4 e5 and so on...
